I was somewhat in the same situation. My husband passed and his X wife wished to come to his service. She shared her son with me all those years and through him she asked if she could come to the service. I told our beloved son to tell his Mom she would be a welcome guest. I felt good about what I had done and she felt good about saying good bye to her first husband the the father of our shared son.
