DINESH HIGH VACUUM ENGINEERING ARC re-melting furnace Vacuum ARC re-melting furnace is used to melt Niobium and Tantalum as well as to prepare alloys based on these refractory metals DHVE’s Vacuum Arc Re-melting furnace has two melt stations – one for consumable (in vacuum) and the other for non-consumable (in sub-atmosphere argon pressure) melting. The furnace is used to melt Niobium and Tantalum as well as to prepare alloys based on these refractory metals with an ultimate objective of producing alloy ingots of 60 – 150 mm diameter and upto 500mm length and alloy pancakes of 110mm diameter and 10mm thickness. The vertically mounted double walled vacuum consumable melting station of size 300mm dia x 1000mm (ht.) is provided with 8 copper crucibles of various sizes from 60mm (dia) to 150mm (dia) with the height of 600mm. The vertically mounted double walled non-consumable vacuum melt station of 300mm Dia x 300mm (ht) is provided with a crucible of size 110mm dia x 80mm (D). A hydraulic operated lifting, lowering and swiveling mechanism to load and unload the crucibles. A DC arc power supply provides maximum melting power @ 20 – 40V/ 10, 000 amps for the consumable melt station and @ 20 – 40V / 2000 amps for non-consumable melt station. The high speed vacuum pumping system is fully integrated with all necessary safety interlocks to reach the ultimate vacuum of 1 x 10-4m.bar in clean, cold, empty degassed environment in the chamber. contact us 1/3448A, Street.
